Exactly the other way round. In those days the handshifter was standard and the EPS was an option. If im not completly mistaken the top of the line truck 1853 only came with the EPS system as a standard.
I still think this type mercedes was the first that had standard a eps gearbox and the manual shift was an option. I drove the previous version of this truck and that one had the eps also standard. A transportcompnay here nearby ordered specialy manual gearbox because they wanted the trucks sold for export after a two years use. Ans manual boxes were easier to sel than the eps gearbox

Please Add Automatic Gearbox
ReplyDeleteThere was no automatic in long distance cabin. Maybe as firetruck, but actually it wouldn't be realistic.

DeleteHe talks about automatic. Of cause there is an semi-automatic, but I didn't know he means EPS, because it isn't a fullautomatic.
